I couldn't resist. I could not. Once I saw that the site existed and I could make a three-D video just by typing, well, I couldn't resist.
I think I went where no romance writer has ever gone. But that's very likely because I am the frog at the bottom of the well who doesn't know what's going on in the big, wide world. So if there are other romance trailers made this way, please let me know. (I still think I must be among the first five, if not the first.) :-)
So here it is, a talking trailer for NOT QUITE A HUSBAND.
P.S. And I just learned this myself. Click on the little triangle at the bottom right corner of the youtube video. And then click on the little tab that pops up. It will recede the video and reveal both its url and its embed code.

Very cool! I loved it. Anxiously awaiting the book's release...
That was great Sherry, what a concept - type it and you get a video.
LOL. That was funny!!! I swear I heard her call him BIG BOY. LMAO
Phyl,
Thanks!
Barbara,
I agree about the concept.
Bev,
You are right. She did say "Big Boy" at the end. I wanted to put in a kiss sound effect too but the program kept kicking me out telling me my script was too long. Sigh, if only I'd been able to put in the kiss sound effect and the sparkly magic sound effect too! :-)
hahaha! I watched this in bed with my toddler (waiting for her to fall asleep) and she was fascinated by the mommy and daddy, as she called them, and leaned over to give them a kiss smack dab on the computer screen. So in my trailer viewing, there was no lack of kiss sound. And I hope my little parrot didn't hear his evaluation of the terrain.
Bonus points for her pearls and his toothpick.
Hahaha! That was hilarious! Great :)
Sherry,
In case you haven't checked, Romantic Times Magazine picked NQAH as one of their Hot Picks of the month. They also rated it 4.5 stars. I imagine it must be torture for an author to wait for the reviews to start coming in.
Congratulations! I can't wait to read it.
M,
I tried to bleep the @#$% words. I even found a gameshow buzzer sound that was just perfect. But the program didn't line up the bleeps with the rest of the script, so you hear all three buzzers together, and then the dude is missing a bunch of words as he spoke.
Indeed, hope the parrot didn't hear a thing!
Nynke,
Thanks. Those characters have funny expressions. :-)
Kim,
Wow, thanks for letting me know. I had no idea.
On the matter of authorly anxiety, I have to say, since I don't google myself, most of the time I don't even know I've been reviewed until either the reviewing site or a reader tell me. Or, if it's a site or blog I frequent, until I go there the next time.
My mom is a dreader, in the sense that a lot of times she works herself up about things that haven't happened yet. I've grown up the opposite. I don't think too far ahead. Life is what happens when you are making other plans. Reviewing is what happens when you are writing other books. :-)
I just love this Sherry!
That was hilarious! dying for the book now... can't believe I need to wait so long! I hope Borders will get it >.<
That was hilarious, Sherry! So very you - especially the naughty bits.
Sierra,
Thank you.
P.I.,
You and me both hope so--after hearing everything about Borders reducing stock and whatnot. Since romance is supposedly selling well these days, fingers crossed.
Shellee,
Lol. Am I becoming known for my naughty bits? ;)
Seriously, how can anyone not want to make those digital puppets say something nuts? I'd make them chase each other around the set if I could. :-P
ROFL!
I adored it.
And er...where _I_ find this program? [rubbing hands in anticipation]
Beth,
Xtranormal.com
Have fun.
(And I don't see how anyone can not have fun with it. *g*)
That was too funny! Kudos galore. Best of luck with the book... can't wait to find a copy.
Many Cheers,
Lil
